THE SMITHSONIAN IS COMING TO TWINSBURG!

The Twinsburg Public Library has been chosen by the Ohio Humanities Council as one of eight sites for the Ohio tour of the Smithsonian Institute’s Museum on Main Street exhibition, Key Ingredients: America by Food. The exhibit explores the connections between Americans and the food they produce, prepare, preserve and present at the table. Through artifacts, photographs and illustrations, the exhibit shows the evolution of the American kitchen and how technological innovations have enabled Americans to choose an ever-wider variety of foods. Key Ingredients also looks beyong the home to restaurants, diners and celebrations that build a sense of community through food. The exhibit will be on view in Twinsburg between January 5 and 30, whenever the Library is open.

Key Ingredients: America by Food has been made possible in Twinsburg by the Ohio Humanities Council. Key Ingredients is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and the Federation of State Humanities Councils. Support for Museum on Main Street has been provided by the United States Congress, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the Hearst Foundation.
