The Library is hoping to provide tax return assistance to seniors and others in need of the help for the 2009 tax season. Many people had to be turned away last year when this annual service was not available in Twinsburg last year due to a lack of volunteers. Please consider offering your time and talent in 2009.
Volunteers will commit to:
§ taking a week of classes at the University of Akron in early January
§ passing an "open-book" exam --support is available to help in preparation
§ to work at least 4 hours per week from February 1 – April 15 in Twinsburg, or possibly Hudson
Volunteers will receive:
§ supplies and books valued at over $300
§ five full days of training
§ the satisfaction of helping others
Special, additional training is offered to those who are computer-literate and wish to help with the tax-related technology. For more information please call the library at (440) 425-4268 ext. 2
