Joyful and Sad Library News

As it is with every family-Team TPL experiences the ups and downs of life. This past week brought joy as we saw former Teen Librarian Natalie Layne marry at the Western Reserve Historical Society, followed by a lovely reception at the Rainforest of the Cleveland Zoo.
Natalie served as our Teen Librarian from September 2006 to September 2007, before moving to Boston. The wedding was lovely and Matt and Natalie have been truly blessed with a great love as well as a lot of common sense!

The sadness came when Bert, my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who served as the unofficial library animal mascot for the past 5 years passed on to "the Rainbow Bridge." He was such a sweet dog who kept teens on their best behavior during lock-ins and Anime Nights. He provided great laughter as he wanted the students to "stop running" during one of our plays. He could also often be seen riding or walking in the Memorial Parade. So, here is a salute to Natalie & Matt and
sweet Bert!
