The Twinsburg Public Library is saddened to learn of the passing of Virginia Ford.
Better known to staff as "Ginny," she moved Twinsburg, Ohio with her husband, the late Manley L. Ford, MD in 1947, she served for many years on the board of the Twinsburg Public Library, and later as the Clerk Treasurer until 1999. Ginny was very active in the community, and was very dear to the Twinsburg Library staff.
"Virginia was preceded in death by parents Floyd and Mary Wager, brothers Thomas and James Wager, and sister Dorothy Wolf. She is survived by daughter Terry Ford Sosnowski PhD (Thomas Sosnowski) of North Canton, Ohio; sons Trent Ford (Celia Drummond) of Roquebrune sur Argens, France; Manley Ford Jr. (Krisann Hester) of Milford, Michigan; Kirwin Ford (Jeanie Ford) of Staten Island, New York; and Kennard Ford MD (Jean Ford) of Akron, Ohio. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to call at the family home at 2604 Maple Drive, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday June 15. Services will be held at the First Congregational Church of Twinsburg, United Church of Christ on the square in Twinsburg at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16 with burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg. Arrangements are being made by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home in Twinsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Twinsburg Public Library Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation or the World Wildlife Federation."
