Book Groups for Everyone


The Twinsburg Library offers seven different monthly or bimonthly book discussion groups for adults, and all of them are open to new members.

* Gaslight Classics meets on the 4th Monday at 2 p.m. to discuss the great novels. In May, the group meets early, on May 19, due to Memorial Day, to examine Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels.
* The Third Monday Book Group also meets at 2 p.m. and reads a variety of popular fiction and nonfiction. In May, they look at Anna Quindlen's Black and Blue.
* Eastern Voices is a group for people of all backgrounds who are interested in books by Asian authors. They will discuss Brick Lane by Monica Ali at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 12.
* The Men's Book Discussion Group will meet on Tuesday, May 13 at 7 p.m. to talk about Clive Cussler's Atlantis Found. The group welcomes both men and women members.
* The Soul of Literature Group reads contemporary African-American literature. On Monday, June 2 at 7 p.m., they will look at The Best-Kept Secret by Kimberla Lawson Roby.
* The Ravenna Road Irregulars is the group for mystery lovers. On Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m., the topic is John Sandford's Rules of Prey.
* The Ladies' Night Group will meet on Thursday, May 15 to discuss A Thousand Splendid Sons by Khaled Hosseini.

Anyone may drop-in for one of these meetings. It is not necessary to commit to monthly attendance. Books may be reserved by calling (330) 425-4268 ext. 2.

We didn't forget the teens! There are two book clubs just for them. Call ext. 6 for more information.
