Submissions Accepted from March 1st - April 1st
In recognition of National Library Week, the Twinsburg Public Library will be holding a poetry and short story contest for adults and teens. Teens and adults can submit poetry and short stories, less than 2,000 words to be considered for print in a special Twinsburg Public Library publication. Each winner will have the option to read their poem or short story at the Coffee for a Cause Event on April 18th. The event will also kick off the purchase of the publication. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for the Teen and Adult poetry categories will be Border's gift cards in the amounts of $50, $25, and $10. 1st place prize for each Teen and Adult short story winner will be a $50 Border's gift card.
All submissions will be reviewed for inclusion into the book, “Reflections”, which will be published by the Twinsburg Public Library. Authors will retain sole copyright of their submitted work. Contest winners will receive special mention in the publication. Winners will have the opportunity to share their work and receive their prizes at Coffee for a Cause on April 18, 2008. Books will be available for purchase at that time. Works will be judged by academic professionals, MLIS librarians, and published authors. Call the library at 330-425-4268 ext 2 for more details.
