Anthony Horowitz Visits Readers' Row!
Young adult author Anthony Horowitz will speak to patrons from Readers’ Row libraries (including TPL) on Saturday, November 21st, 2009. He will present starting at 3pm at the Hudson Middle School, in the only Ohio appearance on his book tour. Horowitz will sign one book brought from home, as well as any books purchased through The Learned Owl or at the event. Call The Learned Owl at 330-653-2252 or 800-968-2685 to reserve your spot. It’s not required to purchase a book to get a spot, but those who purchase Crocodile Tears at The Learned Owl will get 10% off; you can also pre-order the book through the store. International Year of Astronomy Unveiling @TPL
Twinsburg Public Library will take visitors on a journey to the center of our Galaxy when it unveils unprecedented mural-sized images of the Milky Way’s core as seen by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope, Spitzer Space Telescope, and Chandra X-ray Observatory. The images will be unveiled to the public on November 23rd, 2009, at 6:30pm. Clyde Simpson, Observatory Coordinator of the Cleveland Natural History Museum, will speak. Don't Attend our Non-Event on November 21, 2009
The Twinsburg Public Library Foundation has started their fund drive to help maintain continuous funding of the Library! Donate by purchasing a ticket to our non-event on November 21. By purchasing your ticket, you can stay at home and watch OSU vs. U of M instead.
Twinsburg Public Library Foundation:
Funds the Library’s “English for Young Learners” classes-providing a Kent State University instructor to teach the basics of reading and speaking English for children whose primary language is not English.
Provides for continuing education for library staff, when traditional funding is not available.
Encourages voluntary financial support for the Twinsburg Public Library in order to maintain the excellence of the materials and services of the Library.
Is seeking to make a generous donation to the library in 2010 as a celebration of the Library's 100th birthday.
