Wild About Eyes

State senator Kevin Coughlin visited our Library Monday, Oct. 1st to read to one of our Preschool classes in conjunction with the Wild about Eyes exhibit that will be here through October 31st.

The purpose of the interactive exhibit is to increase awareness among young children, ages 4-10 about how to keep their eyes healthy and safe. Two representatives from Prevent Blindness Ohio, Rashawn Evans and Megan Wrombacker, were on hand to demonstrate the features of the kiosk.

The Wild About Eyes exhibit educates families in four key areas: eye safety, common vision problems and diseases, how our eyes work, and the effects of vision loss. The 32” x 32” kiosk (6 ft. high) employs hands-on activities, interactive media, brochures, and a fun animal theme to carry out the message that our eyes are important!
